No. Each core volume is a separate one-time purchase: 20 phrases are free and the remaining 310 normally cost $29. Volume 1 is the current release and has a $19 founding-member launch price; Volumes 2–5 are planned next, and more volumes or themed editions may follow.
Not necessarily. Every phrase is chosen by Kage — a native Japanese speaker, born and raised in Japan — based on how he and the people around him actually talk. Japanese varies by region, generation and circle of friends, so some native speakers may say they would never use a particular phrase. If you are sure one is not used, report it from the phrase page or the contact form — Kage will review it and fix it if needed.
No. Every recording in the app is Kage's own voice — a native Japanese speaker, born and raised in Japan. No AI voices and no text-to-speech are used anywhere. The slow (0.5×) version is the same recording slowed down so you can hear each sound.
On the same device, no. Once you've entered your email anywhere on the site, we remember it across Tatsujin and the free releases and won't ask again.
