Who is this for?
Anyone who understands Japanese but still gets asked to repeat themselves. This closes the gap between correct and natural.
Are the phrases real?
Every phrase comes from real conversation, anime, manga or social media — then reviewed by Kage as a native speaker.
Will every native speaker say these?
Not always. The phrases are picked by Kage — a native Japanese speaker, born and raised in Japan — based on how he and the people around him really talk. Japanese varies by region, age and circle. If you're sure one isn't used, report it and Kage will review it.
Is any of the audio AI-generated?
No. Every recording in the app is Kage's own voice — a native Japanese speaker, born and raised in Japan. No AI voices and no text-to-speech are used anywhere. The slow (0.5×) version is the same recording slowed down so you can hear each sound.
What if I know some already?
You'll recognise a handful. The pitch contours and native audio will still change the way you say them.
